So on May 28th, I snuck my way into this event:
(Full disclosure: this was a public event, no sneaking required other than my desire to not make it screamingly obvious that I was not a Republican.)
It was…something. There’s so much to unpack, I’m going to cover this in two episodes. First up, I talk with Jane Wallace, Chairman of the St. John Democrats, who I was DEEPLY thrilled to meet at the event, not only because she’s a fabulous person but also to have someone who can back up all the things I heard and experienced there.
Jane and I discuss:
The Republican legislator’s proudest accomplishments, including:
The legislative experiences they ignored or danced around:
The questions on the audience’s mind:
Thank you so much, Jane for joining us! If you want to know more about the St. John Democrats, you can reach her at stjohnindemocraticprecinct@gmail.com or on Facebook. But if you’re not in St. John and you want to get connected to your local Dems, email Jane or drop a comment below. We’ll make sure you get to the right person.
Join us next week for part 2 of our dive into this Republican legislative update. We’re talking to State Senator Rodney Pol, who provides the real information the Republicans left out. In the meantime, see you at the Lake!
Oh and side note, I’ve had a couple folks ask when I’m going to turn on payments. I’ll be honest, some support would be great, so I went ahead and did that. That said, all podcast episodes will always be available to everyone, members or non-members.
